NAFTZ is a non-profit organization composed of public entities, individuals and corporations involved in the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones program. There were 186 active FTZs during 2015, with a total of 324 active production operations throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Over 420,000 persons were employed at 2,900 firms that used FTZs during the year. The FTZ Board processed 54 applications for new or expanded production authority in 2015, and reorganized 22 zones under the Alternative Site Framework (ASF). NAFTZ events are open to the public and highlight pending regulations, cost savings within zones, areas of improvement in your career and introductory sessions to the FTZ industry.
